Overview

The Kobra S1 ACE 2 Pro Combo pairs Anycubic's enclosed CoreXY Kobra S1 with the ACE 2 Pro four-slot filament unit, which dries filament at up to 65°C and scales to 16 colors. The printer keeps its 250 x 250 x 250 mm build volume, 320°C hotend, 120°C bed and 480P camera.

What it is

The Anycubic Kobra S1 ACE 2 Pro Combo is a fully enclosed CoreXY FDM printer sold with the ACE 2 Pro, Anycubic's second-generation four-slot filament unit with active drying. Anycubic's store describes it as the Kobra S1 Combo enhanced version. It replaces the Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo, whose variants are all marked sold out on the official store. This page covers the 4-color bundle as sold. Anycubic also lists an 8-color bundle with a second ACE 2 Pro.

What changed versus the Kobra S1 Combo

Anycubic's spec tables list the same printer figures for both bundles, from build volume and temperatures to camera, noise, size and weight. The listed differences are in the filament unit:

  • Drying: up to 65°C, versus 55°C on the first ACE Pro, and it dries while printing.
  • Color count: up to 16 colors with multiple units, versus 8 on the original setup.
  • Moisture and runout: Anycubic's FAQ says the ACE 2 Pro adds humidity monitoring, active moisture control, sealed storage and runout detection, which the first ACE Pro lacked.
  • Drive: four independent brushless motors.
  • Size: the ACE 2 Pro measures 368 x 291.5 x 236.5 mm and weighs 3.7 kg, versus 4.6 kg for the first ACE Pro.

Anycubic says the two generations of ACE units cannot be used together, so owners of the original combo cannot mix an ACE 2 Pro with their existing unit.

Key specs that matter

  • Build volume: 250 x 250 x 250 mm.
  • Motion: 600 mm/s maximum (300 mm/s recommended) and 20,000 mm/s² maximum acceleration (10,000 mm/s² recommended).
  • Temperatures: 320°C hotend and 120°C PEI spring steel bed. Anycubic does not list active chamber heating.
  • Nozzles: 0.4 mm standard, with 0.25, 0.6 and 0.8 mm options.
  • Materials: PLA, PETG, TPU 95A, ABS and ASA. TPU is for single-color printing only.
  • Leveling and calibration: LeviQ 3.0 auto-leveling with Z-offset, flow calibration and resonance compensation.
  • Monitoring: a 480P camera with AI spaghetti detection, plus power-loss resume and runout auto-resume.
  • Noise: 46 dB or less in standard mode and 44 dB or less in quiet mode. Anycubic rates the ACE 2 Pro at 48 dB with the door closed and 55 dB while drying.

Who it suits

This bundle suits buyers who want multicolor PLA and PETG plus enclosed printing for ABS and ASA in one machine. The listed noise figures and included camera make it a reasonable fit for a home office where jobs run unattended.

What to know before buying

  • Price: at the time of writing (October 2026), store.anycubic.com lists the 4-color bundle at $499 and the 8-color bundle at $718. The store shows USD prices to all regions rather than running as a US-only storefront.
  • Color swaps: changes go through one nozzle, so each swap purges filament. Tom's Hardware reviewed the ACE 2 Pro on the open-frame Kobra 4 Combo, not on this bundle, and found loading simple but filament swaps slow.
  • Earlier reports: Creative Bloq's 2025 review covered the original Kobra S1 Combo with the first ACE Pro, not this bundle. It reported a first unit that failed (its replacement worked well), occasional ACE Pro feeding trouble and buggy app remote printing.
  • Network: the spec list names printer, slicer, Anycubic app and USB (print only) control, but does not spell out Wi-Fi bands or Ethernet.
  • Size: the printer measures 400 x 410 x 490 mm and weighs 18 kg.
  • Warranty: 1-year printer warranty, 30-day after-sales guarantee and 14-day no-reason return.

Compared with the Bambu Lab P2S, it includes a multicolor unit at $499 (the P2S Combo was $649) and runs a hotter nozzle and bed. Compared with the Anycubic Kobra 4 Combo, it adds an enclosure around the same ACE 2 Pro. See also the best multicolor printers and best enclosed printers.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • The fully enclosed CoreXY frame with a 320°C hotend and 120°C bed supports ABS and ASA alongside PLA and PETG.
  • The included ACE 2 Pro dries filament at up to 65°C while printing, ten degrees higher than the first ACE Pro.
  • Anycubic says the ACE 2 Pro adds humidity monitoring, sealed storage and runout detection that the first ACE Pro lacked.
  • Multicolor capacity scales to 16 colors with multiple ACE 2 Pro units, double the 8-color limit of the original combo.
  • LeviQ 3.0 auto-leveling, flow calibration and a 480P camera with AI spaghetti detection are built in.
  • Anycubic rates the printer at 46 dB or less in standard mode and 44 dB or less in quiet mode.

Cons

  • Anycubic does not list active chamber heating, so the enclosure is passive for warp-prone engineering materials.
  • The ACE 2 Pro cannot be used together with a first-generation ACE Pro, so original combo owners cannot mix units.
  • TPU 95A is limited to single-color printing and cannot be part of a multicolor job.
  • Tom's Hardware's review of the open-frame Kobra 4 Combo, not this bundle, found filament swaps with its ACE 2 Pro slow.
  • The ACE 2 Pro is rated at 55 dB while drying, louder than the printer's own quiet mode rating.
  • The official specs do not spell out Wi-Fi bands or Ethernet, listing only app, slicer and USB control.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Kobra S1 Combo and the Kobra S1 ACE 2 Pro Combo?

Anycubic lists the same printer specs for both. The ACE 2 Pro version swaps in Anycubic's second-generation filament unit, which dries at up to 65°C instead of 55°C, scales to 16 colors instead of 8, and adds humidity monitoring and runout detection.

Can I use my old ACE Pro with the ACE 2 Pro?

No. Anycubic states that using the first-generation and second-generation multicolor systems at the same time is not supported. Expanding beyond four colors means adding more ACE 2 Pro units.

Can the Kobra S1 ACE 2 Pro Combo print ABS and ASA?

Yes. Anycubic lists ABS and ASA alongside PLA, PETG and TPU 95A, supported by the enclosure, a 320°C hotend and a 120°C bed. Anycubic does not list active chamber heating, so plan ventilation for these materials.

Can it print TPU in multiple colors?

No. Anycubic says TPU 95A is only suitable for single-color printing on this bundle. Multicolor jobs should use materials such as PLA or PETG.

How loud is the Kobra S1 ACE 2 Pro Combo?

Anycubic rates the printer at 46 dB or less in standard mode and 44 dB or less in quiet mode. It rates the ACE 2 Pro at 48 dB with the door closed and 55 dB while drying filament.

Verdict

Buy the Kobra S1 ACE 2 Pro Combo if you want an enclosed multicolor printer with built-in filament drying at a mid-range price. Look elsewhere if you need active chamber heating for nylon or polycarbonate, or a larger build volume.
